COTTON IN 2012 and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
January 10th, 2012

Hey all, Cotton hoped everyone had fun over the Holidays and we hope you all had a Happy New Year as well! 2012 looks like it's going to shape up to be a very busy year for the band, but that is never a bad thing. We have been practicing new original material as well as new cover songs, and we hope to be able to get some of these into our setlists throughout the course of the Spring and Summer shows. Our Spring/Summer show dates are still being booked and the schedule is still incomplete. Hopefully by Late January we will have a complete list of tourdates for ya'll to check out!

We thought it would be a generous thing to leave our current fans with a memory of 2011 Cotton, as the year certainly saw the band grow and expand. Below is a never before heard version of Brandon and Leo performing Sublime cover, "Santeria" at the Paddy McDonald's Ale House in Belmar, NJ on September 3rd, 2011. As a token of gratitude to any of our fans out there, especially rhe ones who enjoy acoustic Cotton, the full show will be released on Bandcamp by the end of the month--As a Thank you and a Holiday present to all of you for the continual support.

COTTON'S ALBUM "IN THE BASEMENT" REVIEWED BY POP-BREAK.COM
December 21st, 2011

Hey everyone, our recent debut album, "In The Basement" was just reviewed by Bill Bodkin at Pop-Break.com. The review was short and sweet, and can be found here:
In The Basement Album Review

Overall, Bill Bodkin seemed very pleased with listening to the album, citing that it is an "exciting listen" and "an appetizer of what's to come".

Pop-Break.com, previously known as the B&B Entertainment Blog, is a pop-culture blog with many writers contributing to the site daily. They have interviewed many famous musicians and entertainers including Guster, The Bouncing Souls and Alter Bridge. The blog recently interviewed famous comedian Dane Cook as well. We are very happy to be able to get reviewed on their blog and we only hope this review helps increase our reach so we can spread our music to many more people in the future.

Happy Holidays!

COTTON'S BRANDON BRODERICK TO PERFORM AT MOLTO BENE CAFE BENEFIT AT THE ELKS CLUB ON DECEMBER 16TH!
December 14th, 2011

Hey everyone, our very own Brandon Broderick will be performing a few songs with former keyboard player Eitan Levine this Friday at the Elks Club in Hightstown, NJ for the Molto Bene Cafe Benefit. Molto Bene Cafe has been a great cafe for supporting live music since its' inception, and has served as a creative testing ground for new material for Cotton over the past 12-14 months. The Cafe shutdown in early September in the wake of the flooding caused by Hurricane Irene. Many others acts are performing at the benefit as well, so come on by to show your support for live music.

On a side note, our opening performance at Old Bay last Saturday with The Tash Brothers Band was a lot of fun. We busted out a new Jimi Hendrix cover and brought a lot of energy to the Tash Brothers' typically older crowd.

Hey all, we were recently featured along with fellow friends, Like Trains and Taxis on Pop-Break.com, which is a known entertainment blog, formerly called the B&B Entertainment blog. The blog has interviewed several known national acts in the past including Nicole Atkins, Antigone Rising, Neal Evans of Soulive, The Dead Kennedys, just to name a few. Journalist Jeanne Crump sat down with Brandon Broderick to discuss the release of "Now and Then" and the album that will be released in September. The link to the full article and interview can be found here:
http://pop-break.com/2011/06/17/interview-cotton-and-like-trains-and-taxis/

We've provided a quick preview:
Pop-Break: After having the band Cotton for six years now, what was the recent motivation for going into the studio and recording your first album?

Cotton: Our motivation for recording this album was to change our focus to sincere songwriting. We knew we were a good live band but we wanted to take it to another level in the studio and make a solid album, which we believe is something that local and rising acts tend to push off or forget about.
